Synopsis
“I am the doctor, I am the hospital, I am not the police.”
Reem is a general practitioner at the Marseille Administrative Detention Center. Men come and go before her. Arrested without residency permits, locked up in the detention center, their lives are on hold, and no one can predict where they will be sent tomorrow. Behind the door of her consultation room, these men confide in her, and their stories reveal the daily reality of this central instrument of French immigration policy.
